As someone who has been an Amazon FBA seller for years, I think the FBA model is more than worth it. With that being said, if you are not using that additional time wisely, it could end up harming your bottom line. With Amazon taking care of some of the day-to-day aspects, sellers should spend more time planning, setting the strategy, and general optimization.

Is Amazon FBA Still Profitable?

In 2020, Amazon’s profits soared by 38%, which indicates it’s still one of the top online marketplaces in the world. However, you will still be competing with over 9 million sellers, so making a strategic and dedicated approach is essential.

To set your business apart from the competition, you’ll need to become customer-obsessed. If you put the customer first when it comes to product selection and listing optimization, you’ll rise to the top and stay there.

While Amazon is a powerful platform, it’s still important to drive traffic and sales from outside the marketplace too. I always say to start focusing on your Amazon sales; once you’ve got momentum, you start building up your audience and following via social media.

Most of the brands that succeed on Amazon dedicate time and resources to their success off Amazon; I hope that makes sense. 

The Amazon FBA model allows you to build a powerful brand from scratch. Once you start growing, remember that Amazon should only be considered a sales channel, not your entire business.

Amazon FBA Coaching: Are the Courses Worth It?

I often get asked why someone should pay for Amazon FBA coaching when they can learn for free by using online resources. Are Amazon FBA courses really worth it?

Well, there are two answers here!

The first answer I’ll give is you don’t have to invest in any Amazon FBA training or coaching.

You can go out there and use all of the free resources and learn how to sell on Amazon for free! When we started, this is exactly what we did! In this case, you won’t need to spend any money on training or a course.

The second answer will sound biased because we offer a very low-cost Amazon coaching program, but Amazon FBA coaching can definitely be worth it; have a look at some of our reviews on Udemy.

We’ve sold many products on Amazon, and over the years, we’ve invested $1000’s in courses and training. To be honest to the majority of it has been worth it!

Free training is great, but you’ll have to piece together a lot of the information yourself. With a course or coaching program, you have the steps laid out for you.

Amazon FBA coaching is only worth the cost IF the course is good. You could always figure everything out on your own, but it’s going to involve a lot of trial and error along the way. And unfortunately, trial and error can be costly.

The DIY route is always an option, but there is a massive learning curve.

The risk of starting an online business can be greatly reduced with the right Amazon FBA coaching, but hey, maybe I’m a little bit biased.
