How to View Archived Orders on Amazon (A Brief Guide)

In this post, I will cover how to view archived orders on Amazon.

Once you place an order on Amazon, it’s automatically added to your account history – you can also choose to archive it. However, what if you need to go back to see the specific details of an order? Is it possible to find your past orders to reorder?

The good news is it’s pretty easy to do – here’s what you need to know.

How to View Archived Orders on Amazon

Buyers who no longer want to see past orders or would like to hide their order history from someone do have the option to archive their Amazon orders.

Archiving an order doesn’t mean it gets deleted, though. Here are the steps you can take if you want to access these archived orders:

  1. Log in to your Amazon account and find the Accounts & List menu item in the top right corner.
  2. From this menu, click on Your Account.
  3. You will find the Archived Orders option under Ordering and Shopping Preferences.

If you would like to unarchive an order, that’s an option too.

You will see an option to Unarchive Order towards the bottom left of the page once you click on a particular order. You can now find this order in the usual place.

I am often also asked how to delete archived orders on Amazon. Unfortunately, this is not possible. You can only archive an order, which will remove it from your Orders page.

How to View Archived Orders on Amazon Mobile

If you are using the Amazon mobile app, you will follow a similar process to view your archived orders.

  1. Open the Amazon app and click on the Accounts & Lists menu item.
  2. Select Your Orders and Past Six Months. You can now scroll until you see Archived Orders.
  3. You can now view all archived orders and unarchive any if need be.

What If There’s No Archive Option on Amazon?

Some users have reported that they can’t see an Archive Order button at all.

If you are experiencing the same problem, there are a few reasons why this might be.

If you cannot find the Archive Order button, try accessing your account via a different device or browser. Some mobile users run into this issue, while others don’t. Other users run into this issue on desktop using specific browsers while others don’t.

You should also keep in mind that you can only archive up to 500 orders. So, if you’ve been an avid Amazon shopper the last few years, you may need to get in touch with customer support to enquire about removing some of your much older archived orders.

That’s all you need to know about how to view archived orders on Amazon. If you run into any problems, let me know in the comments section below.
