Whether you should use one tool instead of the other is what this review aims to uncover.
Jungle Scout vs ASINspector: An Overview
Both ASINspector and Jungle Scout can be used to find and sell profitable products online. However, there are some key differences in terms of who should be using each tool and what they are capable of.
Currently, over 29,000 sellers are using the ASINspector Chrome extension to find and sell products across Amazon, eBay, and Shopify.
Their competitor and product data are based on over 1.7 million hours of research, which is certainly impressive.
Jungle Scout is also designed to provide sellers with competitor and product research.
Currently, over 200,000 Amazon sellers use the platform, but not just for product research. Jungle Scout is more of an all-in-one tool.
So, who should be using Jungle Scout and ASINspector?
Unlike ASINspector, Jungle Scout is only for Amazon sellers.
If you are searching for products with a high ROI that you can sell on eBay, Amazon, and Shopify, ASINspector may be a better fit.
Jungle Scout is best for sellers who are dedicated to the Amazon platform, particularly if they are going the FBA route.

Anyway, let’s dive into some of the specifics.
Accessibility & Ease of Use
Both ASINspector and Jungle Scout have Chrome extensions, making it easy to identify product opportunities while browsing Amazon.
I have found that browser extensions can limit overall functionality, which is why I prefer tools that also have a web application which of course Jungle Scout does.
On the plus side, both tools are easy to understand and navigate, which is a plus if you are new to online selling.
For me, I must be honest, Jungle Scout’s user interface is more intuitive overall.
While it would be amazing to be able to access exact Amazon data, this isn’t possible.
Each tool has its own algorithm that is used to generate sales and revenue estimates.
Consider how Google’s search algorithm is superior to other search engines – this also applies to Amazon seller tools.
When comparing each tool’s estimations to actual product performance, Jungle Scout’s accuracy levels are at least 90% every time. ASINspector, on the other hand, only produced an average 65% accuracy level.
Any data that you are using to establish and grow yourself as an online seller should be as accurate as possible, so Jungle Scout is the clear winner on this front.
Product Variation Display
Product variation display matters because it leaves you with more accurate product information. Jungle Scout displays multiple product variations, while ASINspector only displays one.
What ASINspector does show that Jungle Scout doesn’t is competitor sponsored product ads (at the time of testing). While ad data is valuable, I found it to be too distracting. When using these tools, I prefer to focus on product performance metrics alone.
If you would prefer to see as much data as possible though, ASINspector may be a better fit.
ASINspector has two different packages, both of which require a one-time payment. The Standard package gives you access to basic functionality, while the Pro package includes access to more data and features.
If you are happy with a simple product research tool, ASINspector’s standard package will provide you with enough basic data at an affordable rate. Data accuracy is another matter entirely though.
Sellers with more experience would find ASINspector’s Pro package more worthwhile.
Jungle Scout has three different packages, which are billed monthly or annually.
If you are just getting started, their basic package will allow you to track up to three products. Historical data only goes back as far as one month though. If you are just interested in product research, this package is ideal.
To take full advantage of the Jungle Scout platform and most, or all of the seller features, you would need to sign up for their Suite or Professional package.
Unfortunately, neither of these brands offer a free trial, so there is no way of trying the tools before committing to a paid package.

I did some research to see what other users have to say about each of these tools. Again, Jungle Scout comes out on top in terms of positive feedback.
One of the biggest complaints about ASINspector is data accuracy. Expecting to earn a certain amount of revenue and seeing a significant shortfall is less than ideal, especially if you are starting. In contrast, Jungle Scout is often praised for its data accuracy.
Customer support is an area where Jungle Scout seemed to pick up some negative feedback. However, nothing that would indicate the brand can’t be trusted.
As with any tool, customer reviews are just one piece of the puzzle; I always remind myself that reviews are subjective.
In my opinion, you should always test a tool before coming to your own conclusion.
Jungle Scout vs ASINspector: Pros and Cons
ASINspector may be more affordable, but it only has a mobile application and isn’t renowned for data accuracy. Their data accuracy level isn’t terrible, but it’s not nearly high enough to instil confidence.
Jungle Scout does require users to pay a monthly or annual fee, but at least it is feature-rich and has a much higher data accuracy level.
In terms of usability, Jungle Scout is also easier on the eyes and boasts a more intuitive interface.
Overall, I personally have more confidence in Jungle Scout. And, as a seasoned Amazon seller, I find the additional features to be more worthwhile.
